Crescent to Sponsor 3-Day Basketball Clinic
Local not for profit group Coaching 4 Change has just announced its partnership with the Brockton Public School System and Stonehill College Men’s Basketball team to put on its first ever “Stay In School” basketball skills clinic. This three-day event is sponsored by Crescent Credit Union. Coaching 4 Change will allow up to 100 Brockton Public School students the opportunity to participate on basketball skills for free.
This 3-day clinic will take place at the Brockton Boys and Girls Club from 9:00am-12:00pm, July 8-10.
It will offer Brockton Public School youths, grades 3-5, the opportunity to get involved with physical activity, community service and mentoring provided by Coaching 4 Change founder and gold medal winner, Marquis Taylor, as well as the 2013-2014 Stonehill College Men’s Basketball team and staff.
Coaching 4 Change will identify Brockton Public School students based on attitude, attendance, and academic accomplishments to partake in this summer program. Free breakfast and lunch will also be provided by the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton.
Coaching 4 Change is a thriving not for profit organization whose mission is to equip young people with the skills and opportunities needed to flourish in today’s workforce using sports, project planning and community engagement as vehicles for success.
